Wimbledon 2017 Live
The third round of
Wimbledon 2017 will continue on Saturday, as big names like Roger Federer and
Angelique Kerber try to punch their ticket into the fourth round. Big
names are starting to come across seeded opponents, and the matches only
get tougher from here on out.
Coverage on Saturday begins an hour later than previous
days, gettind underway at 8 a.m. ET. Television coverage will be
carried, as usual, by ESPN, and that will run through around 5 p.m. A
live stream of the ESPN coverage will be available via WatchESPN and the
ESPN App. All courts are available to watch outside of the ESPN
simulcast, as well, via Watch ESPN and the ESPN App.
Federer will have to take on his first seeded opponent in
Mishca Zverev, the 28th seed. Federer himself is the third seed, but
he’s also the popular pick to win after he sat out the to keep himself fresh for the grass court season.
Kerber, who lost in the first round of the French Open —
becoming the first top-seeded woman to ever do so in the Open Era - will
take on Shelby Rogers on Saturday. Kerber has looked much better on the
grass courts of Wimbledon than the clay of last season.
Novak Djokovic will also be playing for the men. The
second seed will take on Ernests Gulbis. Milos Raonic, Dominic Thiem and
Alexander Zverev are the other top 10 seeds in action for the men.
Caroline Wozniacki, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Agnieszka Radwanska are all
top 10 seeds for the women, and they will all be playing on Saturday as
well.
